The main road for access to Juniper is Highland Road which comes off of the Trans Canada Highway and Valleyview Drive. Juniper Heights is a great family oriented community with predominantly single family homes although there are a few strata developments with varying sizes of townhouse units. Juniper has seen a considerable amount of new construction in recent years. The Benchlands area of Juniper which is the furthest east portion in the development features large homes on estate lots. This area boasts gorgeous valley and river views and benefits from a lot of privacy. Juniper West which is located on the furthest west portion of the community has seen the most recent development with many new single family homes along with a number of strata developments.

Juniper is serviced by a community elementary school, a small convenience store and regular public transportation. Highschool students attend Valleyview secondary which is close to this area. Since Juniper has grown so much over the past years some elementary students attend school in Valleyview. 

A very popular park in Juniper is the Kamloops Bike Ranch which is a great place for mountain biking. While driving up Highland Drive, drivers often will catch a glimse of a biker flying through the air off of one of the many jumps throughout the park. Juniper also has a newly established park in the Juniper West area, a dog park and playing field near the Bike Ranch as well as a playground on the Juniper Ridge Elementary School grounds.
