Heffley is located north of the city of Kamloops and runs on both sides of the Yellowhead Highway #5 to the river and east of the highway up towards Sun Peaks. Heffley consists mainly of single family properties but that also includes acreages and recreational residences. There are small pockets of homes that sit on smaller residential lots however the area is dominated by larger acreages.

Heffley Lake and Little Heffley Lake are located 30 minutes from Kamloops. The larger of the two lakes allows power boats and water sports whereas Little Heffley is great for paddling, swimming or ice fishing.

Knouff/Sullivan Lake is located north of Tod Mountain Road and has a number of recreational and year round properties. This lake does allow boats but is restricted.

The area of Whitecroft is located at the foot of Sun Peaks resort. Whitecroft is a nice little community nestled in the valley with beautiful views of the hillside. The properties are normally under an acre in size but do offer more privacy and space.

The Heffley area is serviced by public transportation in the region off of the Highway. There is a small convenience store and gas station on Tod Mountain Road at the Old Highway 5. Students attend the Heffley Creek elementary school which is small and limited in grade levels, the remainder of students attend Rayleigh Elementary, Brock Middle School or NorKam High School.

Heffley is a great area for those who want the rural feel but are still close to the city of Kamloops with most properties only 15 to 30 minutes drive from the city centre.
